StructureTerms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Structure Applied LLC (“Structure Applied”, “we”, “us”) about the Structure desktop app (“Structure” or “the app”), the Structure waitlist, and this website at structureapplied.com/structure (together, “the Services”). By joining the waitlist, or by installing or using Structure, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
1. Who can use Structure
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use Structure. TODO: confirm age requirement If you use Structure for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free. It lets us email you about Structure's launch. It doesn't guarantee access, a release date, features, or pricing. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your email address.
3. Your license to use the app
Subject to these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Structure on computers you own or control. You may not:
- sell, rent, or redistribute the app, except as allowed by an open-source license that applies to a component;
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- use the app to break the law, infringe others' rights, send spam, or harm other people or systems; or
- try to get around the app's security, approval, or permission controls.
Structure includes open-source components. Their own licenses apply to them and take priority where they conflict with these terms. TODO: link to the open-source notices file
4. Early versions
Early, preview, or beta versions may be incomplete, change without notice, or stop working. Don't rely on them for anything critical, and keep your own backups.
5. Your content and your computer
- You own your content. Your messages, files, and the outputs Structure produces for you are yours. We don't claim ownership of them.
- Your data lives with you. Structure stores your data on your computer or the Structure host you set up. You are responsible for that hardware, your operating-system accounts, and your backups.
- Feedback. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
6. AI output and actions
- AI models can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Check important output before you rely on it. Structure doesn't give legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.
- Structure asks for your approval before it sends an email, saves a file to an online service, adds a calendar event, or takes a similar action outside your computer. You are responsible for what you approve.
7. Models and services from other companies
Structure works with software and services from other companies, such as local model servers (for example Ollama), the models you download, optional cloud model providers (for example xAI), and services you connect, such as Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Calendar. Their own terms, licenses, and privacy policies apply when you use them, and you are responsible for following them, including any model license. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for them. Cloud providers may charge you directly for usage.

9. Our rights
Apart from the license above and open-source components, we and our licensors keep all rights in the Services, including the Structure name and logo.
10. Disclaimer
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any output will be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from or related to the Services. Our total liability for any claim about the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. TODO: confirm liability cap Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
12. Ending these terms
You can stop using Structure at any time by uninstalling it and leaving the waitlist. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the Services. Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 13 continue to apply after these terms end.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Florida , unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date above, and for significant changes we will give notice in the app or by email. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
